SANDBELT INVITATIONAL RECAP WITH GEOFF OGILVY
Still aglow from the successful staging of the Sandbelt Invitational, Geoff Ogilvy joins Matt Ginella and Alan Shipnuck to recap the lessons learned and look ahead to the future of the tournament. They riff on what makes Royal Melbourne and Kingston Heath so unique and speculate on future venues for the event, while Ogilvy admits that being back in the competitive arena has renewed his desire to contend at next year’s Invitational. They also delve deeper into what Ogilvy’s role within the Fire Pit Collective will look like going forward, including potential podcast ideas and behind-the-scenes looks at various projects from his golf course design firm. This spirited conversation is exactly what Ogilvy says he wants out of his new role in the media: bringing together people who love golf to talk about the game.
