  1. Forget about Phil for a minute, I’d like to take a broader view of this. If people can get sued for hundreds of millions of dollars for what they in an interview with you, do you believe it’s fair to withhold what is or is not “on the record? ” You are the author, the person responsible for presenting what has been exchanged. Does that come with any duty to fairness or is it open season once the subject starts talking?

    I’m not judging Alan , Michael et al. Just asking for your view as professionals and what is acceptable/common practice by today’s media standards. You all touched on it but I was hoping for a bit more clarity. Excellent Fire Drill, looking forward to the next one.
